Ernie Curtis

Curtis was a midfielder who was very much part of the Cardiff City side that won the FA Cup in the year 1927 over Arsenal. He spent only a single season playing for the Blue birds and scored eight goals for the club before moving on to play for Birmingham City, a club he would go on to spend six years playing for.

Trevor Ford

Ford signed for Sunderland, coming from Aston Villa in the year 1950 for a staggering £30,000. He enjoyed a prolific time in front of goal while playing for the club, netting in 61 goals in only 128 appearances. He moved to Cardiff City in December 1953 and went on to spend three years at the Welsh club and was prolific in front of goal for the bluebirds.

John Charles

Charles started off his playing career with Leeds United, scoring a staggering 150 goals in his eight years at the club. He made a name for himself when he signed for Italian club, Juventus. He scored 93 goals in just over 150 appearances at the club. He also played for AS Roma of Italy before signing for Cardiff City, a club he finished his playing career at.
